Laura & Jill from our office were very lucky to experience MSC latest ship Grandiosa. This new flagship is the largest in the 17-strong fleet with capacity for more than 6,300 passengers & is to be followed by sister ship MSC Virtuosa in 2020.
Upon stepping on board we were completely taken aback by the beautiful indoor promendade on deck 5 that was lit up with the spectacular led celing which projected different scenes throughout the day.
We entered our balcony cabin which includes double bed which can be converted into two single beds (on request), bathroom with shower, interactive TV, safe, telephone & Wifi connection (available for a fee). These cabins are approximately 19sq.m to 22 sq.m. As well as ZOE virtual personal cruise assistant.
ZOE is a voice-enabled assistant that you can as hundreds of questions about life on board the ship, she can even help you reserve restaurants & excursions!
We were able to explore the ship which included visiting show cabins.

This cabin is perfect for a solo traveller, everything you need for a relaxing stay.
Family cabins
We were very impressed by the larger family cabin types ranging from a suite which can sleep up to 5 passenger to the super family plus cabins which is a combination of 2 connected suite cabins which can comforably accommodate from 6 to 10 people.
Duplex suite
This an amazing two deck high stateroom. On the main level you will find a living/dining area with a sofa bed that converts into a double bed. On the second level, there is a master bedroom with a double bed, two walk-in wardrobes & two bathrooms including a bath in one!
MSC see their most important destination as the future. They are extremely committed on their path of sustainability. To help protect the marine ecosystem in which their ships sail, ships are fitted with a ballast water treatment system which prevents against the involuntary introduction of invasive marine species. Also, under the Plastics Reduction Programme, MSC Cruises is in the final phases of eliminating a number of plastic items 7 replacing them with environmentally-friendly solutions e.g. straws have been replaced with 100% compostable & biodegradable substitutes. MSC Grandiosa will use 28% less fuel per passenger per cruise in comparision to their earlier Fantasia ship.
Their long term goal is to achieve zero emissions across all operations at sea & also a shore.

Another amazing feature of this ship that you can experience the world-famous Cirque du Soleil at Sea. You can enjoy two exclusive shows Exentricks & Cosmos, creating unforgettable moments.
All-in-all we had a fantastic time getting to experience this ship & would recommend for any of our customers!
